Inside Scoop

Hello all you web-surfers!  I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts.  I practically live in the studios and pull all-nighters way too frequently just so in a year or two I can get my BFA in visual art with a focus on print and narrative forms.  And then of course I’ll probably just go on to graduate school and pull even more all-nighters and so the cycle will never end.  I love it though.  I have a passion and am way too curious about everything going on in the contemporary art scene, locally as well as abroad.  Thoughts and discussions raised in my classes as well as reflections on my journey through this mess of trying to find my own voice in the art world today will probably be the most prevalent topic I write about.  I also work at a locally owned coffeeshop, because hey a girl’s gotta eat right?  It’s crazy.  We are located in an outdoor mall just outside of the city so we get all sorts of different customers, and thus many ridiculous, unfortunate, and hilarious situations that I’m sure will work there way into this blog.  So I guess just sit back and don’t judge my writing too much (because I know I’m not that good at it) and take a sneak peak into the life of an art student.
